Guaranteed Admission
ODU offers guaranteed admission to qualified applicants from community colleges in Virginia.
Associate's Degrees
Completion of a transferable associate’s degree in the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) or Richard Bland College (RBC) will waive the university's lower level general education requirements. However, there may be additional lower level requirements for your program.
This does not guarantee junior standing for enrollment and financial aid verification. We will still conduct a course-by-course evaluation of credits. Junior standing is reached upon earning/transferring at least 58 credit hours.
Associate's degrees earned at institutions other than those within the VCCS or RBC will be reviewed individually for parallel curricula.

Old Dominion University adheres to the Acceptance and Application of Credits section of the 
State Policy on College Transfer (624 KB) as adopted by the State Council for Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).
